Summer Sailing Camp Fundraiser
LifeSail’s Summer Sailing Camp Fundraiser helps support LifeSail throughout the year, and donors who donate over $400 get a free week(5 days) of instruction for their child. This is for students from ages 8-18 to learn sailing skills as well as Science Technology Engineering and Math AKA STEM through sailing. STEM is taught in the class room as well as applied while on the water through U.S. Sailing's REACH program. Over the camp your child will learn about the environment, applying math to real life, how to sail, and much much more.
The camp is from Monday-Friday. Each camp is designed for children ages 8 – 18. Note that registration is limited, so please sign up early to reserve your spot.
Days: Classes run from 9 am - 3 pm Monday through Friday.
Safety Requirements: All students, regardless of age or number of years in the program, will be required to take a Safety Swim Test on the first day of the program. All students must wear an approved PFD while on the docks and water. Medical, Liability, Responsibility and Audio/Visual release forms are required, and must be completed and on file before the STEM Summer Camp begins, no exceptions.
Boats: LifeSail owns several double-handed boats for beginner, intermediate and advanced instruction. All beginners start on the Optimist. CFJ and 420s are used for the teen’s Double or Triple Handed fun cruising and competition activities. Keel Boats between 25′-35′ are available for special training and/or programs.
